Business Challenge – Our client’s contract with their incumbent managed mobile telecommunications network service provider was expiring.  The client wanted to both reduce costs and transform their service outcomes.
  • Our Role in the Solution – Our consultant led a sourcing and selection investigation to explore opportunities to outsource service provision, and to understand if that capability at scale even existed in the marketplace.  The exercise led to a new service provider partnership being selected, and our subsequently consultant led the transition between the new and outgoing managed service providers.
  • The Outcome – This was a huge undertaking, successfully completed. The transition to the new managed service partners was successfully completed on-time and included knowledge transfer, organisation design, tools provision and testing. The mobile phone network remained operational at all times.
  • Achievements – The client achieved multi-million pound savings in their network management spend, and the transition provided a platform for a subsequent network management transformation programme.
